Naiad
This costume represents the “spirit of the waterfall”, a water fae. The design is heavily inspired by the concept of flowing and splashing water, which we also sought to capture through our photoshoot.

Making Of
This outfit was upcycled from a thrifted base dress. I added multiple skirt layers with cascading hems and white trim to resemble foam water. My fabric choices were iridescent tulle for a full body, and teal silk for flowing movement.
The wig is braided through with stranded pearls, with a freeform wire crown embedded in the hair. I made the crown by bending aluminum wire to shape.
